UrsaQuad
Ursaquads were originally from northern Yorn, the Clay region, being able to traverse through the swampy shallows and thick trees with ease. That being evident in their physique which seems to resemble a wolverine, gorilla, and sloth all mixed into one, while also reaching an intimidating height of 12ft at adulthood. They can now be seen occasionally in Eren, the earth region, where land conditions are more bearable and has less competition in the food chain. Over a century ago Ursaquads developed a migration pattern, where they will travel southward past Eren’s borders during the summer to evade the increasingly humid swamps.
Ursaquads are highly aggressive and territorial, as they have been known to attack on sight, even when unprovoked. This is only amplified during their mating season, which is also summer, and when they are caring for their young. There is a saying that the only warning you get from an Ursaquad is if you manage to spot them first. Ursaquads tend to make their nests atop or under ancient trees that can support their weight, as well as provide shelter for their young.
What could have led to the Ursaquads recent development of their migration pattern is an ancient trick the tribes of Yorn had learned in order to keep Ursaquads astray from their settlements. Ursaquads seem to favor the sap from Twisted Willows as a sort of treat, and there are plenty of that in Yorn. The tribes of Yorn would purposefully harvest this sap into a sizable ball, plentiful enough to grab an Ursaquads attention and leave a literal trail of the gathered sap onto Twisted Willows.
TeddyQuad
Ursaquads are referred to as Teddyquads during their adolescence, to which they will spend the next 5 years until they reach adulthood. During this time Teddyquads will develop their aggressive behavior by being curious of the world around them and practically fearless of anything bigger than them. To which they will tackle and wrestle anything to the ground, or at least there will be an attempt, as during their young age Teddyquads are usually no larger than 1 foot tall. This is in relation to how most travelers are fatally wounded from adult Ursaquads, as the unaccompanied Teddyquads will latch themselves onto travelers in hopes to wrestle them to the ground, as there is now a time limit to pry the Teddyquads off until the parent Ursaquads return.
