The Fallen God Daeva
Daeva was a goddess viewed by many as the goddess of chaos. Many of Daeva’s followers were outcasts, extremists, and anarchists. Daeva would kill indiscriminately. She would unleash natural disasters and disease upon civilizations at random. Many other gods did not like Daeva for a multitude of reasons. A few gods came together and agreed that Daeva was too reckless with her power. These gods worked together to strip Daeva of her power over 10,000 years ago. Daeva was reduced to a dark spirit, and her power was sealed away somewhere only the gods knew. Even if Daeva were to find her sealed power, the gods took precautions and made sure no spirit could break the seal. After handling Daeva, the gods had their followers burn all books that referenced Daeva and rewrite them, omitting Daeva’s very existence. Some of the gods also had their followers destroy all who followed Daeva, calling it a "holy" mission. The gods wanted to erase all evidence of Daeva’s existence other than Daeva herself. Daeva now wanders the world as a spirit, trying to find her lost power and gaining cult followings in the process. Most of her modern-day followers are from Zul, but any mention of Daeva is met with skepticism. Most believe the followers to be delusional; after all, there are no records of such a goddess ever existing. Daeva uses her small number of followers to sow chaos and disdain for the other gods. She went and manipulated six pregnant women into making a contract in which their unborn children would be bound to Daeva. Each of these children would have a cursed body part. Daeva would try to use these children to bring more chaos to the world, and perhaps for other reasons.
